I am a self-taught cook. I started cooking around 18 years old. I stood in the kitchen and watched my mother, who was my biggest inspiration at the time, cook.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Large beet
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 cup leaf lettuce
  • ½ cup Wheatgrass
  • Crushed ice

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Peel and chop the large beet into small pieces.
  2. Add the chopped beet to a blender along with some crushed ice.
  3. Blend the beet and ice until you get a smooth and vibrant red-colored mixture. Set aside in a separate container.
  4. Peel and chop the carrots into small pieces.
  5. Add the chopped carrots to the blender along with some crushed ice.
  6. Blend the carrots and ice until you get a smooth and rich orange-colored mixture. Set aside in a separate container.
  7. Peel and chop the cucumber into small pieces.
  8. Add the chopped cucumber, leaf lettuce, and Wheatgrass to the blender along with some crushed ice.
  9. Blend the mixture until you get a smooth and refreshing green-colored mixture. Set aside in a separate container.
  10. To preserve the distinct colors, serve each blended vegetable separately in individual glasses or containers.
  11. Enjoy the vibrant and nutritious goodness of these freshly blended vegetable drinks!

 

Variations of the Recipe:

  1. Citrus Twist: Add the juice of one orange or grapefruit to the beet blend for a citrusy and tangy flavor.
  2. Ginger Kick: Grate a small piece of fresh ginger and add it to the carrot blend for a spicy and warming twist.
  3. Tropical Delight: Blend 1 cup of pineapple chunks with the cucumber and leaf lettuce for a tropical and refreshing taste.
  4. Berry Burst: Mix in 1 cup of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) with the Wheatgrass blend for a sweet and antioxidant-rich version.
  5. Creamy Avocado: Add half an avocado to any of the blends for a creamy and velvety texture.
  6. Green Boost: Boost the nutritional value by adding 1 tablespoon of chlorella or spirulina to the cucumber and leaf lettuce blend.
  7. Minty Fresh: Add a handful of fresh mint leaves to any of the blends for a cooling and refreshing flavor.
  8. Coconut Twist: Replace the crushed ice with coconut water to add a subtle coconut flavor to the blends.
  9. Spicy Turmeric: Mix ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder into the beet blend for a spicy and earthy taste.
  10. Protein Power: Blend in a scoop of your favorite plant-based protein powder to any of the blends for an extra protein boost.
  11. Berry Green Blast: Blend 1 cup of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) with 1 cup of spinach and 1 tablespoon of flax seeds for a delicious and nutrient-rich berry green smoothie.
  12. Creamy Spinach Avocado: Blend 1 cup of spinach with half an avocado, 1 banana, and 1 cup of almond milk for a creamy and satisfying green smoothie.
  13. Pineapple Carrot Ginger: Blend 1 cup of pineapple chunks with 3 carrots and a small piece of fresh ginger for a zesty and tropical vegetable drink.
  14. Apple Kale Lemonade: Blend 1 apple, 1 cup of kale, and the juice of half a lemon for a refreshing and tangy green drink.
