I am a self-taught cook. I started cooking around 18 years old. I stood in the kitchen and watched my mother, who was my biggest inspiration at the time, cook.

It’s the simplest of concepts, but never fails to impress the youngsters! Many chain stores sell popsicle molds, but you can easily make them in small paper cups with craft sticks or plastic spoons as handles.

Additions
Chopped up bits of fresh fruit make a great addition to the standard
pop. Try a few bits of strawberry to a lemonade pop for a good looking and wonderful-tasting treat.

SERVES 6

INGREDIENTS

  • 24 ounces fruit juice, lemonade, or punch

PREPARATION

  1. Pour juice into popsicle molds.
  2. Freeze the molds until the juice is set.
  3. If you’re not using a commercial popsicle mold, cover each vessel with plastic wrap.
  4. Insert a popsicle stick through the plastic wrap into each vessel.
  5. Freeze the molds with the sticks until the juice is set.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
