TIPS:

  • Use a Candy Thermometer: Candy-making involves precise temperature control to achieve the desired texture and consistency. Using a candy thermometer ensures that you reach the correct temperature stages, such as soft ball, hard ball, or soft crack. This helps you create candies with the perfect texture and prevents overcooking or undercooking.
  • Prepare Everything Before Starting: Candy-making requires your full attention, especially as the cooking process can happen quickly. Before you begin, measure and prepare all your ingredients, grease your tins or pans, and have utensils like spatulas and wooden spoons ready. This preparation prevents scrambling during the cooking process and allows you to focus on the candy-making steps.
