INGREDIENTS
- 1 quart Plain low-fat yogurt
- 1 to 2 pieces of Pita bread
- Olive oil
- Sea salt
- Dried mint or oregano
INSTRUCTIONS
- The night before, set a colander lined with cheesecloth over a bowl, and pour in the quart of yogurt. Refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, your colander will be filled with a mound of creamy, thick Middle Eastern spread called labneh.
- Spread a spoonful of labneh on pita bread.
- Sprinkle a few drops of olive oil on top of the labneh.
- Add a pinch of sea salt.
- Sprinkle some dried mint or oregano on top if you like.
- Enjoy your delicious and healthy Middle Eastern snack!
