- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds or pecans)
- 1/4 cup sweet wine or brandy (optional)
FOR THE SEVEN MINUTES FROSTING:
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 large egg whites
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
