INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

FOR THE FILLING:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

FOR THE CHOCLATE GLAZE:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. This may take a few minutes.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined, but be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  6. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
