Barbecue Chicken Tenders

I am a self-taught cook. I started cooking around 18 years old. I stood in the kitchen and watched my mother, who was my biggest inspiration at the time, cook.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 to 1 1/2 pound chicken tenders
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • split sandwich buns, warm or toasted or hot cooked rice

PREPARATION

  1. Combine chicken tenders, ketchup, liquid smoke, soy sauce, margarine, brown sugar, mustard, bell pepper and onion in the slow cooker or crockpot.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.
  3. Serve chicken tenders on sandwich buns or serve with hot cooked rice.
  4. Serves 6.
