This is a flexible recipe. You may wish to add onion powder, herbs, tomato paste, or a dash of wine, depending on what your gravy is to accompany.
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups vegetable bouillon
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 heaping tbsp. nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. nondairy butter or margarine
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a small bowl, gradually mix the bouillon into the flour.
- Put in a saucepan with the nutritional yeast, soy sauce, mustard, and garlic powder, and slowly bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the nondairy butter or margarine.
- Serve immediately, or chill and reheat as required.
