Pink Watermelon Margarita
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups chopped watermelon
- Juice of 10 limes (¾ to 1 cup)
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 cups ice cubes
- 1 cup tequila
- ½ cup Grand Marnier or triple sec
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a blender, combine the watermelon, lime juice, sugar, and ice and blend until smooth.
- Add the tequila and Grand Marnier or triple sec and pulse to blend. (If your blender is too small, pour the blended watermelon mixture into a pitcher and stir in the alcohol.)
- Fill tall glasses with more ice. Pour the margaritas over and serve.
TIP
- To salt a glass, spread a thin layer of salt in a shallow dish. Moisten the edges of 4 glasses with a lime wedge and dip them in the salt. Tap the glasses to remove the excess salt, then fill them with ice and margarita mixture
