  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
  • 3 large firm bananas, sliced
  • 1⅓ cups cold milk
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • Additional chopped pecans for garnish (optional)

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare the pecan crust:
    • In a small bowl, combine the flour, finely chopped pecans, and softened butter.
    • Press the mixture onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch pie plate.
    • Bake the crust at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
    • Once baked, allow the crust to cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Prepare the cream cheese layer and arrange the bananas:
    • In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
    • Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture.
    • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pecan crust.
    • Arrange the sliced bananas evenly on top of the cream cheese layer.
  3. Prepare the pudding layer:
    • In another bowl, whisk the cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix for 2 minutes until the pudding thickens.
    • Immediately pour the pudding mixture over the sliced bananas, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
