About

Brenda Gantt

I am a self-taught cook. I started cooking around 18 years old. I stood in the kitchen and watched my mother, who was my biggest inspiration at the time, cook.

Creamed chipped beef, also known as “SOS,” was a staple dish during World War II, often enjoyed by Army veterans. This comforting recipe is easy to make and brings back nostalgic memories for many.

Step into the realm of comfort food with a dish that has stood the test of time and delighted taste buds for generations—Creamed Beef on Toast. This classic culinary creation embodies warmth, nostalgia, and pure indulgence, making it a beloved favorite that never fails to satisfy.

Picture a luscious, velvety cream sauce infused with rich flavors, generously coating tender shreds of savory beef. The delightful medley is then lovingly ladled onto a bed of perfectly toasted bread, ensuring a satisfying crunch with every bite. As the creamy goodness melds with the robust meaty essence, an explosion of taste and texture awaits those fortunate enough to experience this timeless delight.
