Chicken and Cheddar Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pounds chicken pieces, skin removed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup ham strips
  • 10 3/4 ounces condensed Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried sweet basil

PREPARATION

  1. Brown chicken in butter; transfer to slow cooker.
  2. Brown ham and place on chicken.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over chicken and ham.
  4. Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours, or until chicken is tender.
