Pumpkin bread is a popular sweet bread that is made with pumpkin puree as the main ingredient. It is similar to other quick breads like banana bread and zucchini bread, but with a distinctive pumpkin flavor and aroma.
The bread is easy to make and can be baked in a loaf pan or muffin tin. It has a moist and tender crumb, and a slightly sweet and spicy flavor that is perfect for fall and winter. It can be enjoyed for breakfast, as a snack, or even as a dessert. Pumpkin bread is also a great way to use up leftover pumpkin puree after making other pumpkin dishes like pies or soups.
Here is a recipe for a delicious and moist pumpkin bread:

Serving size and preparation time:

This recipe makes one 9×5-inch loaf of pumpkin bread, which can be sliced into about 10-12 servings, depending on how thick you cut the slices.
The preparation time for this recipe is about 15-20 minutes, and the baking time is 60-70 minutes, so the total time needed is around 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add in the pumpkin puree and water and mix well.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
  6. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan and transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, slice and serve.

This pumpkin bread can be enjoyed on its own or with a dollop of whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce. It can also be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the fridge for up to a week.
Pumpkin is a nutrient-rich food that is high in vitamins and antioxidants. Pumpkin bread made with real pumpkin puree can be a healthier alternative to other sweet treats, making it a popular choice for those looking for a more wholesome snack or dessert.
Pumpkin bread is often associated with fall and winter, which makes it a popular treat during the holiday season. Many people enjoy pumpkin-flavored foods and drinks during this time, which contributes to the popularity of pumpkin bread.
