  • 3 pounds halibut steaks (1 inch thick)
  • 1 cup sour cream (8 ounces)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • ½ teaspoon dill weed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • Paprika

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 13×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Place the halibut steaks in the greased baking dish, arranging them in a single layer.
  3. In a bowl, combine the sour cream, grated Parmesan cheese, softened butter, dill weed, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  4. Spoon the sour cream mixture over the halibut steaks, ensuring that they are evenly coated.
  5. Cover the baking dish with a lid or aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  6. After 20 minutes, remove the cover or foil and sprinkle the halibut steaks with paprika for added color and flavor.
  7. Continue baking, uncovered, for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
