INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups Tri-colored spiral pasta
  • 1 cup Cooked shrimp (or canned tuna, drained and flaked)
  • 1/3 cup Green pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup Carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Zucchini, sliced
  • 1/3 cup White wine Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shrimp (or tuna), diced green pepper, sliced carrots, and sliced zucchini.
  3. Add the white wine Worcestershire sauce and mayonnaise to the bowl with the pasta and vegetables.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toss the ingredients lightly to combine, ensuring that the pasta and vegetables are coated with the sauce.
  6. Refrigerate the pasta salad for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy your delicious tri-colored pasta salad with shrimp (or tuna) as a refreshing and satisfying meal!

 

Here are some variations of the tri-colored pasta salad with different ingredients and dressings:

1. Mediterranean Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, fresh basil, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Dressing: Whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste. Toss with the pasta and other ingredients.

2. Caprese Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella balls, fresh basil leaves, balsamic glaze, salt, and pepper.
  • Dressing: Drizzle balsamic glaze over the pasta and other ingredients. Add a little olive oil if desired. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, cooked and diced chicken breast, romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, grated Parmesan cheese, croutons.
  • Dressing: Toss the pasta and other ingredients with Caesar dressing. Add more Parmesan and croutons for extra flavor and texture.

4. Tex-Mex Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, cooked and diced chicken or ground beef, black beans, corn, diced bell peppers, chopped cilantro, lime juice, taco seasoning.
  • Dressing: Mix lime juice with taco seasoning and toss with the pasta and other ingredients for a zesty Tex-Mex twist.

5. Pesto Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella balls, pesto sauce, pine nuts, fresh basil leaves, salt, and pepper.
  • Dressing: Toss the pasta with pesto sauce, and add the cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, pine nuts, and fresh basil leaves. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Greek Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, Kalamata olives, crumbled feta cheese, fresh oregano, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Dressing: Whisk together lemon juice, red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss with the pasta and other ingredients.

7. Asian Sesame Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, shredded cooked chicken, shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, edamame beans, green onions, sesame seeds, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger.
  • Dressing: Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Toss with the pasta and other ingredients.

8. Italian Antipasto Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, salami or pepperoni slices, provolone cheese cubes, marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, black olives, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, Italian dressing.
  • Dressing: Toss the pasta and other ingredients with Italian dressing. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

9. Southwestern Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, black beans, corn, diced bell peppers, avocado chunks, cherry tomatoes, chopped cilantro, lime juice, cumin, chili powder.
  • Dressing: Mix lime juice with cumin and chili powder, and toss with the pasta and other ingredients for a zesty Southwestern flavor.

10. Lemon Dill Pasta Salad:

  • Ingredients: Tri-colored spiral pasta, cooked and diced shrimp or salmon, diced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, chopped fresh dill, lemon zest, lemon juice, Greek yogurt, salt, and pepper.
  • Dressing: Whisk together Greek yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper. Toss with the pasta and other ingredients.
