INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Onion
- 1 Green bell pepper
- 1 Clove garlic
- 1 lb Ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 cup Tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp Dried thyme
- 1/2 lb Spaghetti
- 7 oz Jar roasted red peppers
- 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Chop the onion and green pepper. Mince the garlic.
- In a large frying pan, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned.
- Reduce the heat to low, add the chopped onion, green pepper, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
- Stir the tomato sauce, dried oregano, and dried thyme into the meat mixture. Cook until the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water until it is just done. Drain the spaghetti.
- Drain the jar of roasted red peppers and cut them into long strips. Add the red pepper strips to the sauce and cook until heated through.
- Taste the sauce for seasoning and add more salt and pepper if needed.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked spaghetti and toss to combine.
- Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the spaghetti and sauce before serving.
