Total time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6-7 slices of American cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1-2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • Salt, optional

Instructions:

  • Place a saucepan over medium heat. Melt butter. Stir in flour.
  • Add milk and continue stirring until thickens.
  • Now add cheese slices and salt, while stirring and turn heat to low because if you overcook the cheese it will get lumpy and does not taste good.
  • Keep stirring so you don’t get lumps, everything blends and you get smooth sauce.
  • Enjoy it with your nachos on a movie night or with the vegetables in your lunch/dinner.

Note : You can add garlic powder in the cheese if you want to use the sauce as vegetable topping. If you want to store the cheese sauce or you have leftover don’t worry you can easily store and heat againwhen required. Keep your cheese sauce in a sealed container and refrigerate it for up to 2 days. To reheat the sauce microwave it for 30 seconds then stir and repeat until the sauce is heated through.
