INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups Strawberries
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 2 tbsps Chia Seeds
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Trim and Blend: Trim the stems from the strawberries and cut them in half. Place the strawberries, maple syrup, and chia seeds in a blender or food processor. Pulse the mixture until it reaches your preferred jam-consistency.
- Simmer: Transfer the blended jam into a saucepan and place it on the stove over medium heat. Stir the mixture until it begins to bubble. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until the jam starts to thicken.
- Cool and Store: Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the jam into a mason jar. Allow it to cool, then store it in the fridge for up to 7 days. If you plan to use it later, you can also freeze the jam.
Notes:
- Get Creative: Experiment with different combinations like strawberry-rhubarb or strawberry-peach!
- Storage Tip: When freezing the jam, leave at least 1 inch of space at the top of the jar to allow room for expansion and prevent the jar from shattering.
