Ingredients:
- Iceberg lettuce- outer leaves and core removed.
- 10 ounce frozen green peas thawed.
- 4 hardboiled eggs chopped
- ¾ cup chopped green onions
- 2 medium tomatoes diced
- 6 slices bacon cooked
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- Salt and pepper- to taste
Instructions:
- Cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium-high heat and flip occasionally. Cook until bacon turns brown which will take about ten minutes. Drain the slices on paper towel. Crumble the bacon and set aside for topping.
- Remove the core and outer leaves of iceberg lettuce and chop it in small bite size pieces. Add it in the bottom of a large glass bowl or trifle dish. Season the lettuce with salt and pepper.
- Add diced tomatoes as the second layer, then peas, eggs, onions, bacon and cheese. Sprinkle pinch of salt and pepper on top and voila your seven layers are ready.
- Prepare the dressing now. Take a medium bowl and add mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar in it. Mix well so the mixture becomes smooth.
- Spread the dressing over the salad such that it covers the salad completely all the way to the edge of the bowl.
- Top it with crisp and scrambled bacon and shredded cheese.
