About

Brenda Gantt

I am a self-taught cook. I started cooking around 18 years old. I stood in the kitchen and watched my mother, who was my biggest inspiration at the time, cook.

Servings: 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup Salted butter
  • 3 cups 35% cream
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Tomato sauce
  • 2/3 cup (tl)carrots, zucchini, broccoli (precooked vegetables)
  • Enough fettuccine for 4 servings
  • 2 Egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons Cream

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the 35% cream and fresh black pepper to the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce and the precooked vegetables (carrots, zucchini, broccoli).
  4. Cook the fettuccine in a separate pot according to package instructions until it is al dente (slightly firm to the bite). Drain the pasta well.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine to the cream sauce and vegetables. Make sure the pasta is thoroughly coated with the sauce.
  6. In a small bowl, whip the egg yolks with a fork. Mix the whipped egg yolks into the cream sauce to act as a thickener.
  7. Continue to whisk the mixture until the sauce is well combined.
  8. Serve the fettuccine with the creamy sauce and vegetables. Optionally, garnish with grated parmesan cheese.
  9. Enjoy your delicious creamy fettuccine pasta!

Here are some variations of the creamy fettuccine pasta recipe:

  1. Creamy Chicken Fettuccine: Add cooked and diced chicken breast to the sauce for a heartier version of the dish. You can also season the chicken with herbs like thyme or oregano.
  2. Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo: Incorporate cooked seafood such as shrimp, scallops, or crab meat into the pasta for a delicious seafood variation. Sprinkle some chopped fresh parsley on top for added freshness.
  3. Vegetarian Fettuccine Alfredo: Skip the meat and use a variety of sautéed or roasted vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, asparagus, and sun-dried tomatoes for a colorful and flavorful vegetarian option.
  4. Spicy Fettuccine Alfredo: Add some red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños to the sauce for a bit of heat and a spicy kick.
  5. Mushroom Alfredo: Enhance the dish with a medley of sautéed mushrooms, such as cremini, shiitake, or portobello, to give it a rich and earthy flavor.
  6. Carbonara-Inspired Alfredo: For a twist on the classic carbonara, add crispy cooked bacon or pancetta and mix in a little grated Pecorino Romano cheese.
  7. Garlic Lover’s Alfredo: Increase the amount of minced garlic in the sauce for an intense garlic flavor that garlic enthusiasts will love.
  8. Pesto Fettuccine Alfredo: Stir in a spoonful of basil pesto into the creamy sauce to infuse the dish with a delightful herby and nutty taste.
  9. Lemon Zest Alfredo: Add some freshly grated lemon zest to the sauce to brighten up the flavors and give it a hint of citrusy freshness.
  10. Three Cheese Alfredo: Use a combination of three cheeses, such as Parmesan, mozzarella, and Gouda, to create a more complex and indulgent sauce.
  11. Spinach and Artichoke Alfredo: Add chopped spinach and marinated artichoke hearts to the sauce for a creamy and flavorful vegetarian option.
  12. Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo: Season the sauce with Cajun spices like paprika, cayenne pepper, and thyme for a bold and zesty twist.
  13. Sun-Dried Tomato and Basil Alfredo: Mix in chopped sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil leaves to give the pasta a burst of Mediterranean flavors.
  14. Wild Mushroom Alfredo: Use a mix of wild mushrooms like chanterelles, porcini, or morels to create a sophisticated and earthy pasta dish
