  • 2 pounds uncooked jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup butter, divided
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh tarragon

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped green onions, garlic powder, ground mustard, seasoned salt, crushed red pepper flakes, and pepper. Toss the shrimp in the mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated with the flavors.
  2. In a large skillet, heat ¼ cup of butter over medium-high heat until melted and sizzling. Add half of the seasoned shrimp mixture to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, for 4-5 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Transfer the cooked shrimp to a clean bowl.
  3. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining ¼ cup of butter and the remaining half of the shrimp mixture.
  4. Return all the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Stir in the lemon juice and heat the mixture through, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  5. Finally, stir in the minced fresh parsley and minced fresh tarragon, adding a burst of fresh herbal aroma and flavor to the dish.
  6. Serve the Garlicky Herbed Shrimp as a main course or as a delightful appetizer alongside crusty bread or steamed rice.
