INGREDIENTS:

  • 16 oz Pasta (ziti or any preferred type)
  • 1 large Red Onion, coarsely chopped
  • 16 oz Cooked Turkey or Beef, cut into pieces
  • 1 large Green Pepper, coarsely chopped into thin strips
  • 1/2 cup Ripe Olives, pitted and sliced
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Italian Salad Dressing (pre-made or homemade)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions. Cook until al dente.
  2. Drain the cooked pasta and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  3. Drain the pasta well and transfer it to a large bowl.
  4. Add the coarsely chopped red onion, cooked turkey or beef, and the thinly sliced green pepper to the bowl with the pasta.
  5. Toss all the ingredients together until well combined.
  6. Add the sliced ripe olives and the shredded mozzarella cheese to the bowl.
  7. Pour the Italian salad dressing over the mixture.
  8. Toss everything together until the pasta and ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
  9. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap.
  10. Chill the pasta salad in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together.
  11. Once chilled, serve the ziti pasta salad as a delicious and satisfying dish for any occasion.
