INGREDIENTS

  • Country ham, thinly sliced
  • Fresh biscuits, hearty bread, or fluffy rolls
  • Mustard
  • Mayonnaise
  • Pickles (sliced)
  • Cheese slices (such as cheddar or Swiss)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare the bread or rolls by slicing them or splitting the biscuits.
  2. Spread a layer of mustard on one side of the bread or roll and mayonnaise on the other side.
  3. Layer the thinly sliced country ham on the mustard side of the bread or roll.
  4. Top the ham with pickles, cheese slices, lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and onion slices, arranging them to your preference.
  5. Place the other half of the bread or roll on top to complete the sandwich.
  6. If desired, heat the sandwich in a preheated oven or grill pan to melt the cheese and warm the ham. Alternatively, enjoy it as a cold sandwich.
