Yield: 12 slices, each with 6 grams of carbohydrates and 0.6 grams of fiber, for a total of 5.4 grams of usable carbs and 19 grams of protein.
INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons warm water
- 1/4 cup oat bran
- 1/2 cup ground almonds
- 1/3 cup vanilla-flavored whey protein powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons vital wheat gluten
- 1/4 cup Splenda
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 2 tablespoons raisins, each snipped in half
INSTRUCTIONS
- Put the ingredients (except for the raisins) in your bread machine in the order given, and run the machine.
- When the machine beeps for adding additional ingredients, add the raisins.
- Remove the loaf from the machine and bread case promptly to cool.
