Avocado Sauce

I am a self-taught cook. I started cooking around 18 years old. I stood in the kitchen and watched my mother, who was my biggest inspiration at the time, cook.

Be sure to use very ripe avocados when making this sauce.

MAKES 2½ CUPS

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 avocados, halved, pitted, and chopped coarse
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice (2 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
  • Salt and pepper

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Be sure to use very ripe avocados when making this sauce.
  2. Mash all ingredients together in bowl with potato masher (or fork) until smooth.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
