I am a self-taught cook. I started cooking around 18 years old. I stood in the kitchen and watched my mother, who was my biggest inspiration at the time, cook.

For those of you who used to eat your oatmeal with cinnamon and sugar. Add Splenda and cream to taste.

Yield: About 5 servings, each with 15 grams of carbohydrates and 9.5 grams of fiber, for a total of 5.5 grams of usable carbs and 11 grams of protein.

 

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 cup ground flaxseeds
  • 1 cup ground almonds
  • 1/2 cup oat bran
  • 1 1/2 cups wheat bran
  • 1/2 cup vanilla-flavored whey protein powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all the ingredients well, and store in an airtight container.
  2. To make a bowl of cereal, put 1/2 cup of the mixture in a bowl, and add 3/4 cup boiling water and a pinch of salt.
  3. Stir the mixture and let your cereal sit for a few minutes before eating.
