INGREDIENTS:

  • ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons vodka
  • ⅔ cup clamato juice
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash Tabasco sauce
  • Juice of ¼ lime
  • Juice of ¼ lemon
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • PAIRS WELL WITH:
    • 1 bacon strip, cooked, for garnishing
    • 1 crab claw, cooked, for garnishing
    • 1 celery rib, for garnishing

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large measuring cup, combine the vodka, clamato juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, lime juice, lemon juice, celery salt, garlic powder, and fish sauce.
  2. Stir all the ingredients together to ensure they are well mixed and the flavors are combined.
  3. Fill a serving glass with ice. If using garnishes, place the cooked bacon strip, crab claw, and celery rib inside the glass.
  4. Pour the prepared cocktail mixture into the glass over the ice and garnishes.
  5. Give the cocktail a gentle stir to incorporate the flavors.
  6. Serve the Spicy Bloody Mary Brunch Cocktail immediately, and enjoy responsibly!

 

 

VARIATIONS:

  1. Bloody Maria:
    • Swap vodka for tequila to create a Bloody Mary with a Mexican twist. Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of jalapeño.
  2. Bloody Caesar:
    • Replace clamato juice with clamato or Clamato-style tomato juice for a unique twist. Garnish with a celery stalk, pickled beans, and a sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning.
  3. Bloody Bull:
    • Combine equal parts of beef broth and clamato juice for a heartier version. Garnish with a skewer of olives, pickles, and a cocktail onion.
  4. Green Bloody Mary:
    • Use green tomato juice or tomatillo juice instead of regular tomato juice for a vibrant and tangy variation. Garnish with a cucumber slice and a sprig of fresh dill.
  5. Bloody Margarita:
    • Mix tequila and orange liqueur with the classic Bloody Mary ingredients for a citrusy twist. Garnish with an orange slice and a salted rim.
  6. Bloody Beer:
    • Add a splash of your favorite beer to the cocktail for a lighter and effervescent version. Garnish with a beer skewer and a slice of lime.
  7. Asian Bloody Mary:
    • Incorporate flavors like soy sauce, sriracha, and ginger for an Asian-inspired twist. Garnish with a pickled ginger slice and a Thai basil leaf.
  8. Bloody Maria Verde:
    • Create a green variation by using tomatillo-based green mix and tequila. Garnish with a jalapeño slice and a cilantro sprig.
  9. Spicy Bloody Mary:
    • Increase the amount of Tabasco sauce or add extra hot sauce of your choice for a fiery kick. Garnish with a slice of jalapeño and a chili salt rim.
  10. Seafood Lover’s Bloody Mary:
    • Add a dash of clam juice or seafood broth for a briny flavor. Garnish with a cooked shrimp, a small crab claw, and a lemon wedge.
  11. Bloody Maria Verde Especial:
    • Combine the flavors of a Bloody Maria and a Green Bloody Mary by using tequila and green tomato juice. Garnish with a cucumber spear and a slice of jalapeño.
  12. Bloody Maria Diablo:
    • Add a touch of smokiness and heat by using mezcal instead of regular tequila. Garnish with a grilled chili pepper and a smoked salt rim.
  13. Mediterranean Mary:
    • Infuse Mediterranean flavors by adding a splash of olive brine, a sprinkle of oregano, and a pinch of sumac. Garnish with an olive skewer and a lemon twist.
  14. Bloody Michelada:
    • Incorporate the flavors of a Michelada by using beer and lime juice. Add a dash of hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce for extra spice. Garnish with a chili-salted rim and a lime wedge.
