About

I am a self-taught cook. I started cooking around 18 years old. I stood in the kitchen and watched my mother, who was my biggest inspiration at the time, cook.

Funfetti Cheesecake is a delightful and colorful twist on the classic cheesecake, infused with the fun and joy of rainbow sprinkles. This cheerful and vibrant dessert combines the rich and creamy goodness of a traditional cheesecake with the playful addition of colorful sprinkles throughout the filling. The crust, made from crushed golden Oreos, adds a delightful crunch and complements the creamy cheesecake filling perfectly. Topped with more sprinkles and a decorative frosting border, this Funfetti Cheesecake is a feast for the eyes and taste buds, making it a wonderful addition to any celebration or gathering.

The history of Funfetti Cheesecake is rooted in the popularity of Funfetti cake, which was first introduced by Pillsbury in the late 1980s. Funfetti cake mix was an instant hit, as it brought a fun and festive element to traditional cake baking with its colorful sprinkles mixed into the batter.

Inspired by the success of Funfetti cake, bakers and dessert enthusiasts began experimenting with incorporating sprinkles into various desserts, including cheesecake. The idea of adding sprinkles to cheesecake fillings not only brought a burst of color but also a playful and celebratory element to the dessert.

As the popularity of Funfetti desserts grew, so did the variety of recipes, with Funfetti cheesecake becoming a standout favorite among both children and adults. The use of golden Oreos for the crust provides a buttery and vanilla-flavored base, while the creamy cheesecake filling is transformed into a delightful explosion of colors and flavors with the addition of sprinkles.

Today, Funfetti Cheesecake is a go-to dessert for birthdays, parties, and any occasion that calls for a bit of fun and celebration. The combination of the rich, velvety cheesecake with the colorful sprinkles makes it a delightful and visually appealing treat that is loved by all ages.
